

Overview of bridge cranes:
Bridge cranes are a type of bridge crane that runs on an elevated track, also known as a crane. It is a lifting equipment that is horizontally mounted above workshops, warehouses and material yards to lift materials. Because its two ends are located on tall concrete columns or metal brackets, it looks like a bridge. The bridge of the bridge crane runs longitudinally along the tracks laid on the elevated tracks on both sides, and can make full use of the space under the bridge to lift materials without being hindered by ground equipment. It is a type of lifting machinery with a wide range of uses and a large number of uses. It is used in indoor and outdoor warehouses, factories, docks and open-air storage yards.
Classification of bridge cranes:
Bridge cranes are mainly divided into four categories: ordinary bridge type, simple beam bridge type, metallurgical special bridge type, and explosion-proof bridge type.
Ordinary bridge type: Ordinary bridge cranes are mainly driven by electricity, generally operated in the driver's cab, and also remotely controlled. The lifting capacity can reach 500 tons and the span can reach 60 meters. For the convenience of installation and adjustment, the driving device of ordinary bridge cranes with large lifting capacity often adopts universal coupling. The crane operating mechanism generally uses only 4 active and driven wheels. If the lifting capacity is large, the wheel pressure is often reduced by adding more wheels. When the number of wheels exceeds 4, an articulated balancing frame device must be used to evenly distribute the load of the crane on each wheel.
Simple beam bridge type: also known as beam crane, its structural composition is similar to that of ordinary bridge crane. The lifting capacity, span and working speed are all small. The main beam of the bridge is a simple cross-section beam composed of I-beam or other steel and plate steel. A hand-pulled hoist or electric hoist is equipped with a simple trolley as a lifting trolley. The trolley generally runs on the lower flange of the I-beam. The bridge can run along the track on the elevated frame or along the track suspended under the elevated frame. This type of crane is called a suspended beam crane.
Metallurgical special bridge type: This type of crane can participate in specific process operations during the steel production process. The basic structure is similar to that of an ordinary bridge crane, but a special working mechanism or device is also installed on the lifting trolley. The working characteristics of this type of crane are frequent use, harsh conditions, and high working level.
Explosion-proof bridge type: This type of crane is mainly used for lifting in explosive gas environments. Its basic structure is similar to that of ordinary bridge cranes, but explosion-proof measures are taken in mechanical parts such as motors and electrical parts and metal contact surfaces to ensure safety in explosion-proof environments.
Application of bridge cranes:
Bridge cranes are important tools and equipment for mechanization and automation of production processes in modern industrial production and lifting and transportation. Therefore, bridge cranes are used in indoor and outdoor industrial and mining enterprises, steel and chemical industries, railway transportation, port terminals, and logistics turnover departments and places.
