Boom rotation
Boom rotation is very crucial in a jib crane and different cranes have different boom rotations. Hence, you must choose a jib crane with a boom rotation of your needs.
Capacity
Knowing the capacity or potential of your crane is necessary to reduce accidents. You must buy a jib crane which can easily handle the load of your goods. Generally, the lifting capacity is always higher than the weight of a crane. Know your capacity requirements before buying the crane and you will make a better purchase.
Height under boom (hub)
Hub is the total distance between the floor and boom(underside). It helps choose the right hoist for your jib crane.
Climate
Before installing a crane you must make some arrangement to protect it from bad weather or climate changes. According to the weather conditions in your area and the favourable conditions for the crane, you might need to make amendments.
Installation
Installation of pillar mounted jib crane is a tough and time-consuming task because every crane has a different process for installation. We suggest you assemble the crane at the spot to reduce overall cost. Choosing the right jib crane will not be as tiring and complicated if you contact the right manufacturer. Talk to our team and you will get a clear idea of how to choose the right one. Explain your requirements and they will suggest the right fit for you.
Column jib crane is a light work intensity crane composed of a column, a slewing arm rotation drive device and an electric hoist. It is light in weight, large in span, heavy in weight, economical and durable. It has high mechanical efficiency, easy installation, use and maintenance, and low cost.
The column jib crane is made of round tubes, with the base plate and rotating shaft welded at both ends, and the waist rail is installed on the upper part. The base plate is connected and fixed with the concrete floor through chemical bolts to ensure the stability of the column jib crane. There is a through hole on the rotating shaft to enable hidden routing of cables within the group. The 360° current collector can be installed on the rotating shaft, allowing the rotating arm to rotate n×360°. The waist rail is used for the rotation of the jib crane. There are multiple through holes on the rail for installing the rotation module. The angle is limited to 0-360°.
Mobile baffles are installed at both ends to ensure that the hoist works in a specific stroke. The column jib crane bracket is made of rectangular tubes and steel plates welded to support the jib. Adopting triangular support, it has superior mechanical structure, light weight and high safety level. Two rotating wheels are installed under the bracket. The wheel treads fit the waist rail and the structure is stable. One of them is the driving wheel, which can be driven by a light worm reduction motor to achieve electric rotation of the column jib crane. The rotating device of the column cantilever crane uses a round tube as the shell, and an adjusting roller bearing is installed inside to realize the free rotation of the jib. Due to the performance of the roller bearing itself, even if the concentricity of the waist ring and column is slightly deviated, the safety and normal use of the column jib crane can be guaranteed. C-shaped rails can be installed on the column-type cantilever arm, which is used to install the power cable of the electric hoist. It has a compact and beautiful appearance and high applicability.
1. The maintenance of the pillar jib crane must implement the principle of "equal attention to maintenance and precautions". Achieve regular maintenance and compulsory maintenance, and correctly handle the relationship between use, maintenance and repair. It is not allowed to use only without maintenance, only repair without maintenance.
2. Do not carry out lifting work under overloading or unclear object weight, inclined pulling, oblique hanging objects, etc.
3. If the electric hoist has defects or damages that affect safe work, such as failure of the brake and stopper, damage to the hook nut, anti-loosening device, and damage to the wire rope, it must be repaired and replaced in time.
4. When the binding and hanging are not firm or unbalanced and may slide, and there is no liner between the edges and corners of the heavy object and the wire rope, it must be adjusted well before the operation can be carried out.

5. The work site is dim, it is impossible to see the site and the suspended objects, and it is not possible to carry out lifting operations to avoid safety accidents.
6. Do not use the stopper to stop, do not adjust the brake, check and repair during the lifting operation.
7. When a heavy object is close to or reaches the rated load, a small height and short stroke test hoist should be carried out first, and then hoisted at the minimum height.
8. The steel wire rope on the reel must retain more than 3 safety loops.
9.If there is an abnormal noise in the use of column mounted jib crane, the procedure of stopping first, checking later, and removing the fault before proceeding with the lifting operation should be followed.
How to Maintain Pillar Mounted Jib Crane
Inspection and replacement of lubricating oil
The lubricating parts in the jib crane need to be inspected regularly and the lubricating oil should be replaced according to the usage conditions. The quality and applicability of lubricating oil directly affect the service life and effect of the jib crane. Therefore, appropriate lubricating oil must be selected and replaced and replenished according to the instructions.
Inspection of wire ropes and hooks
Regularly check the wire ropes and hooks of the jib crane to ensure that they are not damaged or deformed. If abnormal conditions are found, they should be replaced or repaired in time to avoid safety accidents.
Inspection and maintenance of electrical equipment
The electrical equipment of the jib crane is a key control component. Regularly check whether the connections of electrical components are loose, whether the cables are damaged, and perform necessary cleaning work. At the same time, electrical circuits also need to be inspected and maintained regularly to ensure their normal operation.
Clean the jib crane regularly
Clean the jib crane regularly, including removing dust, soil and oil on the surface. During the cleaning process, care should be taken to prevent water and moisture from entering the key components of the jib crane to avoid causing corrosion and short circuits.
Inspection of safety protection devices
The safety protection devices in the jib crane are an important part of ensuring safe use. Check whether they are in good condition regularly to ensure their normal operation. Such as limit switches, safety hangers, reducers, etc. If any fault or damage is found, they should be replaced in time.
Working Principle of Pillar Mounted Jib Crane
Column mounted jib crane is a kind of light-weight lifting equipment, which is widely used in warehouse to carry goods and so on. According to the different running track, the column mounted jib crane can be generally divided into two types: Internal hanging type and external hanging type.
The column mounted jib crane is generally suitable for short distance, frequent use and intensive lifting operation. It has many advantages, such as: High efficiency, energy saving, trouble saving, small floor area, etc., and it is easy to operate and maintain. The electric control box is installed on the hoist. Generally speaking, the hoist has two states: Lifting and going back and forth on the crossbeam. The slewing arm beam can be driven by the reducer on the slewing device to rotate the roller.
As a light-duty jib crane, it is mainly composed of column, slewing drive device of slewing arm and electric hoist. The lower end of column is firmly fixed on the concrete foundation by foundation bolts, and the cantilever is driven by cycloidal pin wheel reducer. The electric hoist is used to hoist heavy objects by straight-line operation on i-beam of cantilever.
