10 Ton European Standard Double Girder Overhead Crane Exported to Thailand for Automotive Workshop

We recently completed the manufacturing, factory testing, and delivery of a 10-ton European-style double girder overhead crane for an automotive stamping facility in Chonburi, Thailand. Designed to meet strict international FEM/ISO standards, this customized EOT crane features dual-speed frequency inverter control, a compact low-headroom design, and high-precision positioning for heavy die handling. The project was concluded under CIF Laem Chabang terms with a production cycle of 30 working days, following a 30% T/T advance payment and 70% balance paid after successful Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) via video inspection.

The supplied equipment is an NLH series European Double Girder Overhead Crane with a lifting capacity of 10 tons, a span of 22.5 meters, and a lifting height of 9 meters. Operating under an A5 (FEM 2m) working duty class, the crane is engineered for medium-to-heavy industrial environments requiring frequent lifting and precise load placement. Compared with traditional QD bridge cranes, this European-style structure utilizes box-type main girders fabricated from Q355B structural steel, reducing overall deadweight by nearly 20% while minimizing wheel load on the customer's existing building runway beams.

For the lifting mechanism, the crane is equipped with an ND European open-winch electric trolley. Both the cross travel and long travel drives adopt SEW three-in-one gearmotors paired with Schneider variable frequency drives (VFDs), providing stepless speed regulation from 2 to 20 m/min for the trolley and 3 to 30 m/min for the bridge. This smooth acceleration and deceleration effectively eliminates load sway, which is critical when turning and positioning expensive automotive stamping molds.

Because the customer's workshop in Thailand operates in a high-temperature, high-humidity tropical climate, our engineering team upgraded all electrical motors to IP55 protection class with F-class insulation. Furthermore, the power supply system was customized to match the local industrial grid of 380V, 50Hz, 3-Phase. The crane supports dual control modes-an ergonomic multi-step wireless remote control and a backup pendant station suspended independently along a C-track festoon system.

Before shipment, our quality control department performed a rigorous pre-assembly and no-load running test in our workshop, verifying camber tolerance, diagonal dimensions, and limit switch responsiveness. All main structural welds underwent ultrasonic non-destructive testing (NDT) to guarantee structural integrity. For sea freight protection, the main girders were cut with high-strength flanged splice joints to fit neatly into a single 40HQ container, wrapped in waterproof woven cloth, while the hoisting trolley and electrical cabinet were packed in fumigation-free plywood crates.

This successful shipment to Thailand demonstrates our strong engineering capability in delivering energy-efficient, low-maintenance overhead lifting systems tailored to modern smart factories across Southeast Asia.
