Lifting hooks play a vital role in numerous industries, providing a safe and efficient means of lifting and moving heavy objects. Whether you work in construction, manufacturing, or any field requiring material handling, understanding the various types of hooks and their specific applications is crucial for ensuring safety and improving productivity.
Features of Rigging Hooks: Forged or welded superalloy steel.
Individually verified with a working load limit of 2.5 times.
100% flux crack testing.
20,000-cycle fatigue testing at 1.5 times the working load limit.
Compliant with EN1677 standards.
Rigorous fracture load testing.
All load pins are 100% individually inspected and tested.
Eye Hooks: As the name suggests, the eye hook has an eye-shaped opening at the top for easy connection of lifting equipment such as chains or ropes. They are versatile and suitable for various lifting operations, including high-altitude lifting, rigging installation, and suspending heavy objects. Lifting rings come in various configurations, such as swivel rings or self-locking rings, allowing for flexible and convenient use in different situations.
**Hooks and Shackles:** U-shaped hooks are among the most widely used rigging hooks. They feature a U-shaped design with a locking mechanism for securing the load. Available in various sizes and load capacities, U-shaped hooks are suitable for a wide range of lifting applications. From lifting heavy machinery to securing goods during transport, U-shaped hooks demonstrate versatility and reliability.
**Self-Locking Hooks:** Self-locking hooks incorporate a robust and durable locking mechanism. Their main advantage lies in their superior durability and reliability. The design makes the locking mechanism extremely difficult to pry open, providing enhanced safety during lifting operations. Once closed, the locking mechanism remains firmly locked until the load is released from the hook, ensuring a secure and stable connection.
**Swivel Hooks:** Swivel hooks offer superior maneuverability due to their rotating function. These hooks can rotate 360 degrees, enabling smoother and more precise load positioning. Swivel hooks are particularly advantageous in lifting operations where rotating or turning the load is required. They are widely used in industries such as construction, shipbuilding, and offshore operations.
Webbing Hooks
Our webbing hooks provide a robust and lightweight solution for connecting synthetic fiber slings (such as flat webbing and round slings) to lifting equipment. Made of high-strength alloy steel, the products ensure maximum safety in construction, transportation, and industrial applications.
Safety Precautions for Using Rigging Hooks
When using hooks, the upper connector of the sling should be placed at the center of the hook's load-bearing position; never hook it directly onto the top of the hook.
If the hook body is corroded or worn to 10% or more of its nominal size, it must be discarded.
If cracks are visible to the naked eye, or discovered upon inspection, the hook must be discarded.
For hooks with safety locks, if the lock becomes loose or malfunctions, the part must be replaced immediately.
If the hook opening is deformed by more than 0.25% of its original size, or if any other part of the hook is deformed, the hook must be discarded.
For swivel hooks and other swivel rigging components, apply lubricant before use.
